I have been a customer of Ambit, in upstate NY, since 2012. So have my parents and siblings. We have never had a bad experience. I have gone onto National Grid's website and did an ESCO comparison for myself as well as my family, and found that we all saved on our bills as promised. EVEN when the polar vortex hit in 2014. Our bills soared, as everyone else's did. I called Ambit & they explained why. I then called National Grid (my incumbent) & had them do a side by side comparison of my bill with Ambit & what it would have been if I had just stayed with my incumbent as my supplier. They researched it & told me that believe it or not, I actually paid LESS thru Ambit than I would have thru them.

I did get my renewal letter as promised. And now it's my understanding that I no longer have to notify them of my wish for renewal, it's automatic. I also get a statement every year as promised. I realize that they may of had some issues to deal with early in their launch, but looks like they have them all ironed out. I would indeed recommend this company to all interested in saving money. I have also compared them to other ESCOs as well, and still believe they are the company to be with.

I have never had a problem with Ambit for over 3 years. I get free electricity with their Free Energy Program and have saved a lot of money. The company sends you an email, text message and a letter about 45 days before you are up for renewal. ... My independent certified energy consultant also always reminds me to renew. I think Ambit does exactly what they say and what is written in their terms and conditions.

It was very simple to switch to Ambit Energy as my supplier. They offer lower rates than my provider National Grid which is why I chose them. People need to do their research on energy deregulation and the benefits you can gain by switching to Ambit Energy. I live in the Massachusetts which the energy market is different for every state that Ambit services. There's no sign up cost, no contracts and no cancellation fees. I've been with Ambit for about a year now and I've saved $500 so far. Looking forward to more future savings.

Your information regarding Ambit is incorrect. There are so many statements in your article that are just completely in error. If you want people to trust your reviews, the facts need to be correct.

For example the following are incorrect:

-Advertised Price: $429 – WRONG! -

* (There's a nominal $75.00 one time registration fee to become a a legally registered I. C. E. C. and another nominal $24.95 a month overhead fee for the ability to legally enroll energy customers and legally register other I. C. E. C.'s on your team. This also cover the Compliance Certification for all current market that we do business in the United States, Canada, and Japan. This also includes any other market that will become available in the future at no additional fee for us.
-Ambit Energy has been plagued by consumer complaints. Yes and NO, A+ Rating with the BBB & a multitude of JD Power & Assoc Awards for CUSTOMER excellence. Tell me where you cant find anything bad about any company on the internet? Many customers failed to renew their contracts, didn’t read them, etc., many of those same people are complaining.
-Other customers flat out accused the company of lying about actions taken to renew contracts or sending renewal notices to them. WRONG, they didn’t read their contracts, anyway this is a blanket statement with no proof,
-There are also lawsuits pending that cite the company for using illegal pyramid schemes to compensate their direct sales consultants. WRONG WRONG WRONG!! This lawsuit has been dismissed by a Federal Judge. Do you know what a pyramid is?
-Ambit Energy serves a limited market of 14 deregulated states- WRONG We are also in Alberta Canada and the whole country of Japan.
-The initial start up fee for the Ambit Energy MLM system is $429. WRONG! It is approx $100 and free in Alberta right now.
-The compensation varies depending on what state you’re in. NOT A TRUE STATEMENT, the compensation is the same, except in Texas.
-However, the average payment for a consultant seems to be around 1% of each new sign up.WRONG. Where did you get this number from?
-Ambit also requires consultants to have at least 20 active customers paying for energy before they can receive commissions. WRONG AGAIN!
-That means you need to convince 20 people to switch companies before you can even be paid. ABSOLUTELY WRONG!
-In most cities, there is only one company to handle all this. That means customers are usually lifelong. Think of how hard it will be to convince even one person to switch from a company they’ve been using all their life to a company like Ambit. REALLY WRONG, IT IS ACTUALLY PRETTY EASY.
-Don’t forget, the first search they do will reveal all of Ambit’s complaints and lawsuits. And once you tell them Ambit is also an MLM they’ll run for the hills. wrong. DO YOU BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET. THE FACTS ON YOUR WEBSITE ARE WRONG.
-Multi-Level Marketing is not designed for newbies. It’s very difficult to get started unless you already have thousands of people waiting to buy from you. That’s how successful MLMers do it. WRONG, LOTS OF NEWBIES GET INTO MLMS

I get free electricity from Ambit, I have friends that get free electricity and others that are paying 15-20% less for their electricity. So what exactly is wrong with this?
